Only 170km's? With 3.300m of altitude? Could actually result in multiple potential winners due to the distance
I think it will probably end up longer but honestly like it as is, especially with small teams there's no real need for a 220+ broadway.

With the Winter Olympics on now, what do we think the LA road course will look like? I know they’re starting in Venice Beach. Any chance they finish with a climb of Mount Baldy?

Three years in a row that Decathlon's main puncheur miss the Ardennes Classics (Lafay - 2024 and 2025, Benoot - 2026).

Lapeira and Cosnefroy were also injured last season.

I can't remember a season where we've had so many riders with major injuries pre-Omloop, would be nice if the bad luck ran out sooner rather than later.

Wo we even know anything about how Kooij is doing now
It was previously announced that their other top acquisition, Olav Kooij, had to postpone his season start at the UAE Tour due to a severe virus. The Dutch sprinter is now recovering, but will certainly not start in Omloop and Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne, the team confirmed.

WF made an article about him just now, probably out for the whole spring... When teams don't specify the virus it's a bad sign most of the time

I love the Olympic road race if it is actually the one that’s been leaked. How does it compare to Brazil, Tokyo and Paris? None of those had a hill top finish to my recollection.

UCI director Peter Van den Abeele just said 2028 Worlds will be completely flat. No artificial hills or anything. It will be one for sprinters.
The most striking thing is that he says it's because he was specifically asked to do it.
I don't think these decisions can be made under pressure.

In any case, those hills only added a little elevation gain; the finish was going to remain completely flat, and we already saw in the first stage that those hills aren't enough to break up the peloton.

I think next year. World Championships in Sallanches are before the Vuelta.

I also don't rule out that you say and that he might even skip the Tour to go to Los Angeles and do Giro-Vuelta. instead.
If Pogacar is missing a TDF it will be in 2028 and do the Vuelta.
