I suspect that if the leading group stay away then Dygert will attack in the last 10kms. Who will chase ?

Trek's tactics. They've got strong rouleurs in their team who have to attack the race. This continues the disappointing series of races this year in the women's peleton.

Peloton got a lot bigger again.

Last 6km wind from the side. But a sprint looks inevitable.

Wiebes - Kool - Balsamo - Consonni. All with a lot of teammates.

Would’ve like a sprint with the smaller group, less leadouts/dangerous. And maybe some attacks.

So, about an hour ago in the men's race, we already pretty much knew who was going to win.
Now, we probably also know pretty much who's going to win, but for very different reasons.

Weird short sprint.

No one able to go harder in the leadout.

#100 for Lorena.

Great news: we've reached the level of professionalism where the races need to be made harder.

Bad news: until that happens we're going to see a lot of lobotomised races and Little Miss "I Saw Something Yellow On The Ground" Contract Law with her arms in the air in races that she can get to the finish of even if people try and make it hard for her, they just don't.
