Nizzolo could have gotten closer, if he hadn't been at the back. But van Aert was the strongest with the help from Van Hooydonck.

Lot of talk for how amazing the race was when it was one moment of echelons very little after that.
I think with 50 km to go people already made up their mind about the race being good because it seemed very unlikely the rest would stink as much as it eventually did. So yeah, I kinda agree, the finale really didn't deliver.

Bennett finally dying and Van Hooydonck sticking around meant too many second or third tier tier sprinters wrongly fancied their their chances against Van Aert in a sprint more than their chances of pulling off an attack.
