clearly a future tour winner in the making here. He comes from a track background after all.

Podium this tour? I look forward to him dropping Quintana next.

He'll be the second best climber in the world come Tour 16. Should win the Vuelta this year and might do the Giro-Vuelta double next year to....I mean a cobbles specialist dropping Contador, Nibali, TJ, Bardet, Pinot, Uran, Costa et al. whilst pulling for Froome and then sprinting home with Valverde is scintillating.

Any chance you could start some more new Sky threads? This is only the fifth in the last couple of days.

You don't think a contender for podium in the tour deserves his own Clinic thread?

I've made plenty of comments about Thomas in the Sky thread thanks. You've already had two spam threads about Sky closed today.

not my fault the mods are afraid to upset the delicate feelings of skyfans.

the most doped up performance in cycling history deserves all the attention it can get.

I said this in the SKY thread already, but I think that Thomas' best case scenario in GT GCs is probably a Christian Vande Velde-esque career. Future tour winner is probably hyperbole. Though I will be interested to see if he can handle multiple climbs in a true mountain stage.

I'm looking forward to the Gallopin thread, he unexpectedly finished with the same group too.

G has been climbing well this year, shouldn't be that much of a surprise that he could do what he did today. In Paris-Nice he was second behind Porte on stage 4 with a MTF, beating guys like TJVG, Kwia (in form), Costa, Fuglsang, Bardet, Aru. In TDS he also climbed well.

I agree, there were no surprises about today's performance. We had all seen his ridiculous improvements earlier in the year so we knew what he might be capable of. Compare today with his climbing in the Tour last year though and that was when he had much more freedom to ride for himself after Froome crashed out and Porte capitulated.

Why was he not climbing well earlier in his career? Former Grupetto fodder.

Didn't want the big money contract till Sky came along and transformed him at 30? So was lazy and didn't train or eat the proper foods, too much nutella....

Attention is certainly warranted...

Maybe mods think that attention is better spent if not scattered all over the place.... ;)

Cheers
