He's still doing exceptionally well though. Except for Thomas you'd expect all names in front of him to be in front of him. Only too bad he's lost time on Nibali who wasn't really better I believe. Neither is Van Garderen. I look forward to the 3rd week. I think it's still possible to finish top 5. Podium is not possible because Contador is getting stronger and Valverde is too good

7th of the GC riders today. Has to look behind for Nibali who is getting stronger. In front of him only Thomas could break. So I think 7th or 6th is maximum now.

Was also fun in the interview after today "I think Mollema had a bad mood today. Only stayed in my wheel the entire time" :D

Contador,Valverde,TVG endless possibilities

People blaming Gesink for doing his best to arrive in Paris as high as possible in the GC.Now that's what i call pathetic.Poor guy didn't have a choice really,Froome doesn't care about Nibali.

Sorry but that was pathetic from Gesink today. Pathetic.

Sometimes you turn into a little kid Hitch. I don't like the battles for 7th and 10th position either, but Nibali attacked his position and certainly not Froomes position, because he's 8 minutes back.

Since when is reacting to an attack to your position (Nibali) pathetic? Sure, another rider was down, but hey, this the final of a stage and there is an attack going on. What was he supposed to do? Just give Nibali time?

I completely understand why Gesink did that, but I do wonder if the Dutchies on here had similar sympathy for JVDB back in the day.

They always made fun of him :D and keep in mind vdb2 also attacked sometimes...

What you guys don't seem to grasp is that those of us who didn't like Gesink's defensive riding don't think he had a position to defend in the first place.

Well, yes, but surely that goes for Nibali too. I'm not sure why attacking to move up in the top 10 is much different from responding to an attack to prevent yourself moving down in the top 10. It's all riders fighting for the same positions.
