same will be done to all X rider A/D threads being 1 closed and the other one kept going as general discussion about the rider
Luckily Bruyneel has changed Andy's preparation, so that it's a complete question in what kind of form he will arrive in the TourDekker_Tifosi said:Regarding to Andy Schleck, in his 2010/2009 climbing form he is clearly in a different bracket than Gesink uphill. Only Contador is better uphill than that Andy Schleck...
The rest is worse, yes even 100% Evans and 100% Menchov are clearly worse uphill than 2009/10 Andy
The Hitch said:Oww that is a very serious accusation. I am downplaying a broken leg.
Universally aknowledged as one of the worst injuries an athlete can get and you have come to the conclusion that i am underestimating it.
Excuse me, exactly where did I underestimate Gesink's injury?
Was it when i said that he could not possibly be on top form for the Tour after it, or when i said it took tremendous courage on his part just to get back on his bik?
I mean you must have seen some evidence somewhere, or did you not read my posts and just decide to make something up and hope it sticks?

Spine Concept said:Fair point, however that's beside the point I was trying to make with my post; your blatant overreaction to people differing of opinion with you. Talk to me about that and stop trying to deflect the real point of discussion here, you seem to have a real knack for being dramatic.![]()
The Hitch said:And what opinion where people differing with me on?
That Basso's injury effected his tour performance? Didnt see anyone disagreeing with me on that? Both DT and youngest admitted that he was, they just both felt the need to point out that Gesinks was worse.
So what opinion were people disagreeing with me on?
Give an answer to that, then feel welcome to claim im deflecting the real point of discussion and make another one up.
Comparing him to La Florecita and how worse he is than her obsession with Contador? Lol. What a drama queen. Keep on deflecting though, you seem to be an expert in that department.![]()
The Hitch said:no wonder you get so upset by my posts. You don't understand hyperbole at all.
When i say dt is like la flo, that doesn't mean that i think he is. It is hyperbole.
Its like when Ryo said that DT is so thin, he worries that the cauberg wind will blow him away. He didn't mean it literally
Actually as i recall the first time round you launched your attacks on me, about a year ago actually, it was because you also then, took every single sentence i posted at 100%.
DT btw, judging by the stories his real life friend - Ryo Hazuki tells, and by his own posts, and by the reputation of his beloved dutch speaking forum - pcm benelux, is capable of absorbing significantly more hard hitting material than comparisons to the flower girl, and i would expect, considering he has actually spent time with Ryo (who considers telling people they are morons beyond repair, as a compliment) , he is not half as bothered by my posts as you are.
Maybe you shouldn't take offense on the part of others, particularly since you don't know the whole story ( me and the dutchies, especially dt, have been on and off allying and feuding for 2 years, and never is it personal, whereas you leave the forum for vast ammounts of time and then come in and take offense on his part as if i was reading a list of the worlds most insulting rap lines, to his face ).
As for the accusation that i was downplaying a broken leg, it really is not nice, no matter how horrible a punishment you percieve my "subjecting others to my drama" to be, the former is a little bit worse![]()

Spine Concept said:There you go again, being a drama queen. For argument's sake though let's say it is worse, does that mean that you are suddenly exempt from having to apologize? Lol. C'mon now. Be fair or let it go.
Moreover, coming out in defense of other people is just who I am, I do it in real life and thus, here whenever I feel they are being treated unfairly.
This will continue to be the case after this post, so if you want to criticize me on my character than go ahead
Given that he was nowhere at the pointy end of races so far this year, it was obvious he needed some more hard racing miles. So going for GC in California, or at least not taking it easy, was the obvious choice.18-Valve. (pithy) said:Going for GC at the ToC was the wrong thing to do with the Tour in mind. Kruijswijk, definitely. Mollema is a bit of a special case, the guy hates altitude training, and prefers to just race himself into form. For him Suisse seems like a logical choice.I'd have selected the other Rabo Tour de France "contenders" for the Dauphine, though, despite their good results in Switzerland last year. Unless Rabobank is desperate for results or WT points, that is.
The Hitch said:Yes, because being dramatic is not neccesarily a bad thing. Moreover its not personal.
if you find me allegedly being dramatic, offensive that is your problem.
I find you to be boring, that doesnt mean you have to apologize to me for it
Making up that i said something, about a serious matter, which i did not, is on the other hand, fiendish. You yourself admited that you did it.
That is the type of behaviour and cheap tactics one would usually associate with cheats, bullies and sociopaths.
On the internet due to the lesser implications, it usually just gets called "trolling".
The Hitch said:Well I do take it as a compliment that you did not feel DT was capable of standing up to me himself
I promise to be gentle with you now Ruben, now that your mother has told us you are not grown up enough to play with the big boys, we will leave you alone
lol at the " i am so great in real life" line. If i had your mentality i would demand right now that you aplogise for your embarrasing self promotion.
I won't take you at your word for it though for 3 reasons.
1 youve already proven yourself to be a liar (even admitted it).
2 if you did actually help people in real life rather than just boast about it on the internets, you would presumably know better than to risk coming off as a total fool when you defend someone who does not need defending, when you don't know the context.
3, isn't it funny that the only people you have ever "defended" on here, are Gesink fans in Gesink discussions.
Total coincidence.
Save the fake hero act for picking up chicks in bars.
The Hitch said:Nah, its just you that randomly enters into discussions to attack people. Just because you behaved that way does not mean I will not try to handle myself with more honor.
Spine Concept said:In that same regard I can tell you that if you think I ought to apologize that is also your problem. I don't owe you anything other than an eye-opener to what a hypocrite you are. Almost forcing an apology out of someone instead of being more content with a sincere apology, lol talk about inflated ego.
Just when I though you couldn't get more pathetic you go out and put words in my mouth and later have the cojones to accuse me of apologizing for making up stuff people said. Lol. I have no words. Where did I say ''I am so great in real life''? Quote me on it will you. That's right you can't.
Moreover, coming out in defense of other people is just who I am, I do it in real life and thus, here whenever I feel they are being treated unfairly.
D_T is not the only one that I have jumped to their defense and will certainly not be the last
I simply responded to your perplexed comment about me jumping at the defense of a poster and you have to take it completely out of context in order to satisfy your craving to be right and making a mockery out of it in the process.
Classy. Even if I frequent the Gesink related threads more often than others it doesn't make your attitude any less right. However, I already called it, you're the deflection king.
If anything is done randomly on these forums it's the hissy fits you throw, get a hobby.
The Hitch said:Actually, all i did was ask if you believe an apology is neccesary.
So you see when you call me a hypocrite for "forcing an apology", well, it doesn't make any sense cos i never forced anything, i asked a question.
The Hitch said:Actually I can
Check and mate.
The Hitch said:Are you some sort of online shrink? Youve seen a couple of posts from me and already have a whole profile of me from which to give life advice, observations, criticisms etc.

Spine Concept said:It is forcing when you keep suggesting that you are entitled to one.Checkmate.
How you see boasting in that is beyond me, it's a simple truth which you have decided to take out of context and ridicule to my expense and your satisfaction. Do I have to apologize for being me now? Lol. Nice try though.![]()
I can say the same to you, no? Analyzing my character and stuff and even giving it a numbered list. Let's not get hypocritical... oh wait...![]()
The Hitch said:Yeah but i didn't suggest i am entitled to one. I asked you if you feel giving an apology when you have wronged someone is the right thing to do.
In other words, are you a man of honor or not.
Also "checkmate" only works once.
Its like the kid in school who responds to any observation with " i know you are but what am i".
You claim to be a 21st century good samaritan. That is boasting and i refuse to take the word of a proven liar claiming to be some people's hero.
Another "I know you are but what am I".
Actually there is nothing in your above post that hit its mark at all. Since most of it was "ikyabwai"i am going to declare victory here in so far as there is nothing more you can say to me that will change my feelings.
If the mods come in to close the discussion now, i will welcome it.
your crusade against me has fallen limp.
Tastes sweet.

Back to Gesink, he's turning 26 today! And as a birthday gift he had a 210km training ride up the mountains with Kruijswijk. And their trainer 'Delahaye' had some dutch traditional 'koekhappen' for them at their break.![]()
