We should include a lie detector in this poll, cause I can't believe what I'm seeing.

The question is: "who will win?"

Not: "who might win?"
Not: "who do I want to win?"
Not: "which rider is Venezuelan?"

Damn you original answer-people.
I don't support Contador, but my money certainly is on him for tomorrow.

Same answer on all those questions for me :D

Given the way he's climbed and his long pedigree of performing in GT TT's, I can't see past AC--especially since he will have the time checks of the leader and his rivals. Now, he doesn't have to win obviously, but I think he's picked this as a place to pick up time on his rivals.

The first time check is after 5 quite easy kilometers. Would be nice of some complete non-climber would focus everything on that, so he would have the best intermediate time all day. A shame Brown isn't here anymore.

lol that's quite a good point. Even someone like Millar could just kill it for the first 5km and give us a nice unrealistic split time for the big GC guys :)

Before yesterday I was thinking maybe Garzelli would target this again, but after yesterday probably not.

I picked Nibali for the great grand tour game, so I'm sticking with that even though AC will probably dominate.

I have a quiet but unexpectant hope that Carlos Sastre has been sandbagging a bit the last few days (though admittedly he is totally done) and rides with renewed fire in his gut to honour a fallen comrade.

Alberto is my pick but Menchov is the dark horse here. He is in better form now and will make a push for the podium.

Thanks for that :D

This will actually be like a rest day for a lot of the domestiques. Richie Porte could try his best, but guys who have been killing themselves for fifteen stages and have no chance at a top finish can just go out and stretch their legs.

As I've mentioned before, this could be my last race as a pro cycling fan, so I'd love for Contador to give it all he has. If for some reason he doesn't win, I still expect the podium interview to be held in Spanish.

Sastre has been sick apparently.

“This Giro is really hard so far and I haven't been able to shake off my health issues. Some people are asking why I’m still in the race in these conditions, because they can't understand that I want to make it to Milan. I have never pulled out of a tour before now, except once in the Vuelta a España due to an accident, and I’m not going to do it now”, he confirmed.

Hmm I was just thinking, didn't Alberto Contador dissapoint in the mountain ITT in the Vuelta 08 a few years back? I remember he was dominating that Vuelta as well and then Leipheimer owned him in the mountain ITT

He might as well not win this, even if that sounds unbelievable at the moment

Still, if Unibet was giving all riders the same odds and gave you 3000 dollars to bet, your money would be on...

I think it was mentioned (used as an excuse?) that he was sick in the final week of that Vuelta.

He did proceed to whinge at Leipheimer for being too close on GC after not working for him after the race. :D

Is there a time limit in a TT?
I suppose there is? Too bad, a 5k sprint at 100%, and than slowly on that mountain, just for fun. Would be great indeed:D

I've backed Konovalovas at 300/1 each way to win £12,000 (plus £3k the place).

Decent odds for someone who can ride a short time trial.

Paddy Power is my friend :)

If by being disappointing you mean getting second, yeah.

I shall go for Mr. Menchov here.

Alberto is likely to win but I think he has a big enough lead on Nibali and Scarponi that he doesn't really need to push that hard at all today.

Hitch you better watch out man. You probably got a ton of Russians ****ed at you for spelling Denis ----- Dennis. :p

I put my money where my mouth is :)

I've also had a small touch in Nieve (250/1) and Sella (200/1) both each way for a tenner each.

Either of the three places and I'm quids-in. Konovalovas wins....I'll buy a new wife :D

Leipheimer was always a better TTer, and don't forget that it was in 2008. 3 years is a long time.
