what an opposite of andy schleck. scaproni is great in all. also the way he rides

The thing is, unlike Scarponi, Andy passed this line. No matter how he rides on a regular basis, he is already a grand content of cycling in scale of universe; a great cycling heritage with that our descendants will associate this decade

Hooray! A real cycling holiday starts!!! :) One of two races why I adore all that stuff! Everything before was just a warm-up! Congrats, Hitch! ;)

Michele is very organic with Maglia Rosa.

No-one looks very happy in that photo. Little wonder, though.

Lovely post. we all miss you during the time you were away.

Who said contender? Seems to me just like big names. Cav is missing obv but otherwise all the big names at the race are also gt contenders.

Ok Gadret is not a big name but he finished on the "podium" last year.

Could have had Ballan there though.

And Cunego come to think of it.

Basso admitted he is still little bit overweight, and this picture proves it... Maybe 2 kgs... Thank God two weeks to go to the mountains...

My thoughts on the contenders:

Gadret - Maybe a top 10.
Rujano - The Rujano of last year has a good shot at taking this but he's in the same boat as...
JRod - Maybe the second best climber in the world, though nothing for consistency. If he can and Rujano can avoid running out of gas, they would have such great shots. These two are so alike sometimes.
Scarponi - He looked great last year. Not Contador great, but great for a human. I think he has a great shot, especially if the two above stay inconsistent.
Schleck -I wouldn't take Frank over Scarponi. He sucks in the TT and has some great mountain days once in a while. I don't know where he really can gain a good amount of time.
Kreuziger - Hah. Maybe top 10?
Ryder - Hah. Maybe top 10?
Basso - I'll admit that I'm uninformed about Basso. I saw him do a good tour or two in the Lance days but I didn't watch alot of the 2010 Giro and he hasn't been great since then. My gut tells me top 10, if he makes it through.
Cunego - Eh top 10 I guess. He's been one of those guys who hasn't really impressed me and Scarp is going to be better.

Frank being in it makes the Giro a little more interesting, but I'm not that hyped for it this year. I thought last year's Giro was untouchable. This year would be a great year for some no namer to take it.

There are actually a few finishes for these 2 early, but I fear the really long tough days may kill them, seems to happen to the small guys. I think a slightly heavier guys also last 3 weeks a little better.

Cunego is missing also. Why wouldn't they invite a former winner? They always did, even if that rider didn't go for GC anymore (Garzelli)
Cunego and Rujano get no respect - and who's Gadret? I thought it was a Team called like that...
