Yeah, good one. Horner and Porte are better than Purito:confused:.

Quintana and Purito are the two topfavorites. Porte is the dark horse, in terms of leading a team in a GT. Horner is a interesting outsider.

horner won't be doing the giro. he already said multiple times he wil only do the vuelta

I for one am immensely put off by the inflamed nationalism most Colombian riders display, and I don't think that time when people from an entirely different team went out of their way to help Betancur was anything but a disgrace.

This is more common than you think. Horner himself when riding for Trek helped other americans in races after his job was done. He stated later that he wanted to help the US get more points for the worlds.

Sanchez has helped out Contador as well many times and we have seen Valverde help out Purito & Contador in races. Not so much last year, but in prior years.

We also have seen Australians state that they love seeing each other in races and look out for one another.

Colombians are a bit over the top now, but most of it is because they weren't around in the World Tour for many years. 5 years ago, Only Soler and Uran were getting slim WT points. Every now and then Duque and Ardila would see each other in races. Now, there is just so many, 95% of them under 26, that they all kind of grew up together and know each other as friends.

nairo quintana
igor anton
jonathan castroviejo
john gadret
eros capecchi
adriano malori
giovanni visconti
andrey amador
sylvester szmyd

this would be absolute killer team, also very strong for ttt, is there one?

Although I agree nationalism doesn't have a place in Professional sports, you have to consider if they were also friends, and the particular circumstances: Marentes was losing contact with the group (not that he waited for him) and Betancur was coming back (and IIRC, Saxo started pulling right after the flat which is not right either).
Betancur is at the back again asking for his team car assistence. Time is running out and he knows while changes his bike. In front Saxo starts pulling to drop him and defend Majka's jersey. Not very sporty, let me say.

Now, regarding the Colombian Armada (as per the Spanish Armada who tried and failed at TdF), discard any Colombians riding for a team with GC ambitions, I don't see any Lampre, Trek or Garmin leaving their leaders to support a fellow compatriot. It's only what Uran or Quintana might agree upon during mountain stages, and the limited support Colombia can provide without risking their own chances of stage results.

henao is 100% tour, knees probably too

We were all wondering how Sky will be ever taken down. All it takes is time.
#1 Wiggins kind of gives up on road
#2 Froome becomes the best rider in the world, focuses on Tour.
#3 Uran leaves to another team
#4a Porte now becomes leader for Giro
#4b Henao was leader at Vuelta, may continue to be leader.

You had 2 that were favorites at every Grand Tour with 3 or 4 options as super domestiques.
Now you have the best rider in Froome, but only 1 choice as super domestique.

Well excatly. As Wiggins and ( EBH might ) leave the team next year that is MASSIVE chunk of budget out of the way. Those two can give way for two massive transfers for Sky.

Vino attacks everyone said:
that would be great for team spirit wouldn't it? you guys have been really good so far this year!... give me your blood cause you are probably cheating...
teams can't function without trust between riders and management.

Vino, if its to good to be true....
Point is, if anyone knows the riders true potential its the team and its trainers and medical staff.
If the team is run like its supposed to, the medical staff would know about it.

Trust is not an option if suspicious performances and results overmatch the real potential. Teams needs to keep a critical approach, and in Di lucas case I would say he already lost his right to be trusted years ago.
My point is, no team can not be aware if a rider dopes, at least if they live up to their responsibility. But I think we better stop the discussion here, admin says it belong in the clinic.

lol. you think teams can test their own riders for doping and know it the same day? he was only entered into the team 1 week before the giro, so they had no idea about values or anything. of course scinto resented it that's why he managed to stop it for months until the sponsor right before the giro threatened to leave the team immediately. you have no idea what you are talking about. I know my stuff unlike you and not it's not naive. it's more hilarious to think you actually believe scinto lets his riders dope and then has the risk of not losing his riders in the giro but his actual job and with him that of countless others.

Doping doesnt take 1 day....but you can take a blood sample and have the result 1 or 2 days later if needed.

You think I dont know anything about doping?
You know, assumptions is the mother of all **** ups!!

The rest of your post...oh dear.
