Stage 9 will start from Lugo. No Cesenatico.

Satge 8 looks pretty much confirmed as the only stage having any connection with Pantani. The only other possibility is Oropa, that still have a slight chance to be on stage 14.

Isn't Zoncolan harder from Ovaro?

2011 was pretty stupid...No climb before Zoncolan.

I would much rather see a finish somewhere in Ravescletto/Ligosullo/Paularo or even Fielis, but it is not a bad stage design by any means.

Speaking of Brescia. Do you think it's realistic that Maddalena will/could be resurfaced/broaden?

Nice stage to Zoncolan, glad to see some climbs which are not so well known, makes it even more interesting for racers and followers. Altopiano del Montasio was also a beautiful climb (what the riders do with it, its up to them).

I still think that at least the plateau and perhaps the run in to the climb should be broaden.

Yes, probably a circuit would be too much. But a single pass would be enough

So I guess Val Martello won't be there. Can't say I'm disappointed, but I was hoping for a long range attacking stage and certainly Montecampione isn't. The only hope now would be the final Friday, but with the Zonc the day after it would be hopeless anyway
There's only the Carpegna for attacks then, which is too early in the race so I doubt anyone will need to try.
