And he's still active near the front with Teklehaimanot. Gaviria must be interested in sweeping up the maximum bonifacations (in my best Kelly accent) today.

Can Teklehaimanot even catch Gaviria by winning every intermediate sprint for the rest of the race? He is 229 points behind currently

If you want to discuss the clinic background of Pantani, or the morality of his adulation or whatever, please take it to the clinic.

I guess he still doesn't understand the points jersey scoring if he's chasing down Tekla

To be fair, does anyone actually understand the points jersey scoring in any GT. It seems to change nearly every year and from race to race. Gav probably just playing it safe

20 minute effort suit Dumoulin, a bit like that Vuelta finish where he beat Froome.

If Quintana/Nibali win time at all it will be < 20s
I thought the same but according to the link below that effort was less than 12 minutes. There's some difference between 12 and 20.

well dumoulin himself says that in team tests he is the best at 20 minute efforts

Good post 46 and two wheels, Pantani is just so much more... what a legend, hope the riders do him justice today.

I'm glad somebody else too sees Pantani under a different light, without reducing him to a freakshow
sorry mods, it was off topic :)

Teams have to spend close to nothing to close this down, I reckon Movistar + Bahrain will help FDJ, maybe even Sky.
