Some serious lack of balls detected a bit everywhere.
Maybe Oropa left a bigger effect than we think. Too afraid of a counter?

I guess but was thinking more about Nairo, after all he has team mates in front...

No offense to the Maglia Azzurra, but I don't really get why a rider of Landa's class is going for it. Desperation?

If he can get that and a couple of stage wins, from the position he's in, it's not such a bad Giro?
Who was first over Mortirolo?

He should've won it in 2015 anyway. So nothing's wrong if he saves his 2017 Giro with the blue jersey!

Just hope they all stay safe on the decent so we can have a fight on the next climb. Quite disappointed at the moment.

Lulu, as a courtesy of Fraile and Landa - it was a Cima Scarponi.

If Quintana does not attack is because he is not feeling very strong now!

I would attack with one leg if I was him, with 3 men up front and such deficit to Dumoulin. He doesn't have a heart of a champion...

LOL. Movistar showed their cards. They should have let Anacona come back to the leaders group.

That sounds like a nice gesture. Good to hear :)

Correct, but that is not his personality. He is also relying on attrition for all the remaining of the stages.

What's nibali doing? Doesn't get much better than the Stelvio descent to gain time if you need to gain 6 minutes on someone

Nairo has a history of not attacking until the last moment, this is no different. As much as everyone wants a Contador style raid through the mountains it will never happen with Nairo Quintana.

Movistar has three men up the road, Dumoulin one...
Movistar: Let's not attack, too risky, there is at least a 5% chance that attack wouldn't be successful.

He has nobody in front, there's a valley coming.

And then ride alone for 70 km?
Again, with such a weak team, his only strategy is riding defensively and be opportunistic in the finale.

What happened with Anacona was rather strange...you don't see that very often !

It's interesting because it means that the Movistar DS's and Quintana were diasgreeing on tactics and not communicating that well with each other.

Probably he doesn't want to attack because he has no teammates in front? Maybe that makes sense since Nairo would probably call his teammates back if Nibali becomes a big danger for him. Still a bit disappointing.
