If Quintana does not attack is because he is not feeling very strong now!

I would attack with one leg if I was him, with 3 men up front and such deficit to Dumoulin. He doesn't have a heart of a champion...
Nairo has a history of not attacking until the last moment, this is no different. As much as everyone wants a Contador style raid through the mountains it will never happen with Nairo Quintana.
It would have been stupid as well with Trek and Etixx riding hardish at the front to protect their top 10 places. No point attacking until Dumoulin will have to take up a fair bit of the slack chasing.

Contador would probably have gone anyway, and then there would be the usual complaints that 'third party' teams were interfering in the race and destroying his chances. Quintana is a bit more calculating I think.

What's nibali doing? Doesn't get much better than the Stelvio descent to gain time if you need to gain 6 minutes on someone
He has nobody in front, there's a valley coming.

Well he's not winning the Giro like this either

That's what it is today.

Probably he doesn't want to attack because he has no teammates in front? Maybe that makes sense since Nairo would probably call his teammates back if Nibali becomes a big danger for him. Still a bit disappointing.
Does Nibali have any friends/Italians who can help him in the valley in case of an attack?

Wow, I've always thought of Landa as a slightly clumsy yet OK, 'get-the-job-done' type descender.
Didn't expect this

have you seen that reddish house the group passed by some minutes ago? In case somebody might wonder:
They're called "case cantoniere" (Cantoniere Houses) and they are disseminated throughout the peninsula. They are abandoned and they were used as temporary homes for workers in charge of road maintenance

they're are basically part of the landscape.
The one with the graffiti on it? I noticed it, was really surprised to see something like that in the mountains. Made me think of the subways in NYC or something.

Correct, but that is not his personality. He is also relying on attrition for all the remaining of the stages.

Well because of that personality he could very well lose this Giro!

Landa is an underrated descender.

Another key to his success in 2015.

Indeed, he's a superb descender.

And a superb climber. And his TT has improved.

Too bad of that stupid crash :(

I really enjoy Landa's style. Never afraid to attack early out.

If he was up there in the GC, he was the only GC rider I could see attacking on Stelvio.

They have called him "an artist" on the bike. I think that is true.

He is in a exclusive club with Contador and Sagan.
