Nibali did what he said before the last week. He doesn't ride to get a podium, he only cares about the win
This. But he was very weak so he only did 2 attacks (one on Gardena and the other on the final climb but the 2nd attack was like his Etna one, he was extremely weak.)

I very much doubt Nibali nor Quintana cares about finishing 2nd, 3rd of 51st.

+1
they just do not care about Pinot, they are only not able to beat Dumoulin

You know what. Pinot cares about finishing second or third. And he might help Tom finish first along the way.

Why on earth should Nibali and Quintana pull even 10 meters for TomD?
Do you understand cycling people?
They both race for 1st place.

why should he pull, he has no other rivals other than these two  they should be putting pressure on him, not him

TJ was (surprisingly) the stronger rider. Landa didn't do too much wrong there (unlike two days ago).

Apart from leaving the door wide open on the last corner, you mean?

Colombians about to justify "the best climber in the world" Quintana's bad performance ... 1, 2, 3, go !!!
Clearly, it's Landa. I mean, winning the KOM at the Giro, it that doesn't prove it, what does?

Landa can not win from a two up sprint to save his life!

By the looks of it the only way he can win a stage is to drop everyone so there isn't a sprint.

Why insult Quintana if he doesn't have it.

He doesn't have to work for Dumo either.

Dumo is now the big favorite and he has to take control of the race not Quintana.

I think Quintana does, and Movistar do in generally. He dug really deep last year in the Tour to claim 3rd. Nibali probably not so much.

Because he was sick most of the tour

Today was "the day" to break Tom. Neither Nibs, nor Quintana can drop him. And by looking at tomorrow's profile, the last climb actually suits Tom like a glove.

Bottom line: unless he has another stomach upset issue, I'm saying Tom is set to win Il Giro.

Quintana is losing on purpose so that Froome gains false confidence for the Tour

Actually if Nibali/Quintana want to win this is even a better situation.
Good luck controlling this:

1 Tom Dumoulin (Ned) Team Sunweb 80:00:48
2 Nairo Quintana (Col) Movistar Team 0:00:31
3 Vincenzo Nibali (Ita) Bahrain-Merida 0:01:12
4 Thibaut Pinot (Fra) FDJ 0:01:36
5 Ilnur Zakarin (Rus) Katusha-Alpecin 0:01:58
6 Domenico Pozzovivo (Ita) AG2R La Mondiale 0:02:07
