This will be for 2nd tiers to attack. Pinot, Pozzo, Zakarin might try. It will be interesting to see who will chase them.

Big mouth Tom, when they'll be some 2 minutes up the road.
Big mouth Tom or big dump Tom?
I don't think it was a very big dump to be honest. A big one will take around 10 minutes. Atleast.

Hey! you stole my name idea!

No we like it. I'm calling him Big Mouth Tom from here on out instead of Major Tom! He doesn't deserve to be associated with a Bowie song.

EDIT: I've settled on BM Tom. That can be taken 2 ways :)

The stage starts in my hometown, so I'm super hyped for the start. I want to take a picture with Ivan Basso and talk to him, same with Landa and Kiryienka.

This looks like a breakawy stage with the GC contenders fighting it out on the final climb. However, with the tension between the first three I can imagine almost anything happening. The final climb looks very good for Tom D, but he hasn't got a team to chase the breakaway riders and the others aren't going to make life easy for him.

Anyway, I'll go with my initial instinct and the now perennial stage chaser, Landa. Saturday looks a better profile for an ambush, but I'm sure Bahrain and Movistar will try and set up a situation where an attack is possible. If Tom D gets to the bottom of the final climb with the other GC contenders (as I think he will), he'll be the boss again on the final climb.

Wow, enjoy. Share some pictures if you can!
Thanks, I'll try to take a few pictures.
It's great, a few weeks ago I was there at the start of stage 3 of the Giro del Trentino and now the Giro stage starts in my hometown, that's awesome.

Wow! Il Grandissimo Tibopino is getting a lot of love here! What a difference a day makes :p . And for all the non-sense comparing him and Bardet, it was by seizing such an opportunity that Romain earned his 2nd place at the Tour.

I'm don't know if Pinot should pull a Vino tomorrow, but he's so close in the GC that if he feels strong, who knows.

Giuseppe Fonzi ftw  .

Tonton, get over it. Everyone's free to have an opinion, as everyone's free to ignore it. No need to be mad and bring that topic up again. ;)

Anyway, I doubt that Nibali will try anything tomorrow, since today his tank looked to be kinda empty. But Quintana will definitely try to do something.

But this last week was horribly designed. Concentrating so many hard stages will make at least half of them useless GC-wise.

Time for the Dutch-French counterpact (Dumoulin/Pinot/Mollema/Kruijswijk) then

On the last climb. Hmm 9% slopes with a shallow finish. Reminds me of Oropa
Way longer, it's more like an Italian version of La Pierre-Saint-Martin.

I couldn't help it :p . It just illustrated my point: when I read that Pinot will pull a Chiappucci-Sestrieres or should attack from very far out, I'm very skeptical. Yes it is a sexy thought, yes I would love it...but only if it works :) .

BTW: I don't get mad ;) . And I agree that the design of the last week, the entire Giro actually, isn't really good. I don't know why I gave it 8/10...ah yes, I remember. I did it to bother Netserk ;) .
