This giro start to be all about taking sh*it and taking pee.wtf, bring back on classic season.
I agree. There are few things less interesting than debates over whether or not riders should wait for other riders, or if people should be disqualified or not. It's almost as bad as the football discussions about penalty/not penalty, offside/not offside or red card/not red card.

Edit: Oh, and I forgot, worst of the bunch are wheelsucking discussions.

Slongo said TD apologised for his words yesterday and that earlier today Movi upped the tempo on the descent and the group split.

Slongo: "no way we attacked during his natural break. He was in the middle of the peloton. Movistar pushed hard on the descent and the peloton split."

So whats up an down? Was he down to pee pee which was the reason he was that far down or was he simply chilling at the back once the break got off?

Come back to the last 20 km. Will be the same, but at least there will be some action.

Peace between them but still war between TD and Nibali's fans.

I think he was chilling. I saw this yesterday also, on the first climb he was way back. I think that, before he was a GT rider, this is his natural way of riding. But if you're a GT leader, you should be in front.

A rookie mistake really.

If Dumoulin took a pee break he shouldve moved to the front so everyone could see it imo. if they attack then.... Well that would be quite cowardly.

Discussion is not needed, because he didnt pee. He was simply at the back and Movistar and Bahrein made a great move by attacking.

lol at anyone calling Nibali #newschool

It's the concept, not the rider
He's got it the wrong way round though. Old school is holding onto team cars, taking a train, attacking whenever the opportunity presents. New school is making up a set of imaginary rules and then moaning on social media when not everyone subscribes to them.

Unfortunately Grand Tours are mostly composed of void action for 95% of the total Km, so it's natural to end up talking about this. It's part of the show

Dumoulin is also still learning and I understand his frustation yesterday, but sometimes its better to say nothing and think more.
Then again it spices things a bit up.

In the end there are no big problems, but media and people like to make things a lotbigger then they are.

Dumoulin always speaks his thoughts without thinking of the consequenses. They should give him some proper media training.

Dumoulin reminded me off how Froome looked on Formigal. Maybe the rest will do him good in the end now

This is brilliant! :D

- Right, break has 5+ minutes. They're gonna go for the win.
- Nevermind... Dumoulin is behind, crazy chase. Break caught.
- Dumoulin up again. New attacks.
- Right... nevermind the nevermind. Break has 5+ (in fact around 7) minutes. They're gonna go for the win.

The stage design is a bit odd. Great setup for early attacks, then a big long flat section to kill any excitement.

Leclercq on Anton lamenting about staying away from home too long: “Sometimes you just need to accept reality. A truck driver ain't got more time at home and receives a way smaller paycheck!“

Makes me think this was never going to work. Even if Dumoulin was behind after the climb they would have to nail this long flat section. With probably everybody on sunweb coming back like they did now in that section.
