So there was 40km of extreme hard racing in which the gc leader almost got shelled and its still boring.
What do you want to happen at this stage of the stage?
I'd rather have a better designed route for the 100th Giro instead of the crap they did.
Today's attack was stupid, because with such an enormous amount of flat kms after the mountains, the differences would have been annulled.

carton said:As you said, sorta. It was fairly close to being rather epic. If the GPS gaps were right, and Yatesy wasn't really itching for another white jersey (not that I blame him, he was riding his race) we might've gotten it.BigMac said:Sorta predictable with _/\_______/ kind of routes.

Probably pure fantasy by the Italian fascists back in the day. The correct name is Innichen. In fact there are very few towns in South Tyrol with real Italian names.King Boonen said:BigMac said:King Boonen said:Does anyone know why the starting town is named after a shrub?
Ni!

They arent even riding - they're peddling on the 19th stage of a GC. I thought we could have had a better route for sure.

It might seem stupid now, since it obviously didn't work. However, it might have, so you just gonna try.![]()
You don't need crosswinds if you have a 20 second gap coming off that climb and more riders in the front group than the chasing group.lenric said:No. With a 60 kms flat stint after the mountains it would be stupid nonetheless. Especially considering that crosswinds weren't considered a factor for this stage.
But what if dumoulins group hadn't been strong enough to catch the first group? In that case the flat would have been a huge problem for a group without domestiqueslenric said:RedheadDane said:lenric said:Kwibus said:lenric said:

Yep. The disk brake models of the bikes they're currently racingdgodave said:They are peddling expensive bicycles.

Nah. None of them can handle the Landa in 13 km at 8%.
The only issue is how well recovered is Landa from yesterday.
