Great stage.
Long way to the finish, absolutely everything is still possible.
Weekend scheme.

This is the first segment of the 'downhill competition', I think that's why they resurfaced the road.

Hatch really has a thing for Conti

The peloton has slowed down, but that's still 120km at high speed already

Or it could've been reverse, since the competition was announced short before the race.

Yeah you're right, they must have chosen the safest segments across the parcours. Anyway, broadcasters did not speak about this during the descent, I wonder whether the winner will be announced at the end of stage.

The times will probably be published. It's interesting data regardless of the omission of competition.

Quickstep will have to work at some point. Conti only a couple of minutes behind in GC.

In less than 10 minutes the two Bardiani riders apparently managed to bridge the 1 minute plus gap to the break and put 2 minutes into the peloton

They probably don't care enough. Will lose it tomorrow anyway.

I heard Jungels talk after every stage since wearing the jersey. He seemed very determined to keep it until Blockhaus. Really no reason not to pull considering they probably won't have to work in the next two weeks.

Why is Katusha working at the front?
Thought they stepped at the front on the descent due to the safety reasons and continued.
QS coming now...

Perhaps their rouleurs were just tired after the climb then and needed a few kms to recover.

Looks like they've done a Cannondale though. Started working properly only once the break has a seriously dangerous advantage.

I think they are right on time if they keep this pace, but Quickstep probably won't care anymore if the gap is under 2m.

But unlike Cannondale they'll probably do what they have to do, keep Jungels in pink for one more day.
