What a final

Froome is back.
Yates does a HUGE step for winning the Giro

Dumoulin limited the damage well, but I doubt it is enough with 4 mountain finishes remaining.

Good ride from Tom, but can't agree with commentator it's a good result. With 4 more summit finishes to come, Yates needs to gain far less on each than he has on the ones so far to get the necessary gap.

Overall not a 2 horse race anymore then.

Yates just about a par gap to Tom, Froome in the mix with a big TT as well.
The big unknown know is just what Froome is capable of in the final week. Based on today, I could see him winning the TT and gaining big time in the mountains, unless Yates can somehow hold his form right to the end.

This looks a Nibali 2016 type recovery.
A better recovery than nibali imo. Nibali was still (apart from the MTT) within the top 5 climbers. Froome was like 15th best and is now the best

Incredible ride by Froome, incredible stage, Major Tom probably has the overall now. Last week will be awesome, team sky will attack every day! Yates still in great shape, impressive ride and mature decisions.

Yep, whatever one thinks of him, he's certainly box office. His resurrection has made this Giro more intruiging for sure.

Dumoulin did a great job today, but Froome being back is a nightmare. He might be able to handle Yates in the last week, but you just know Froome will light it up and give Yates someone to chase.

A nice battle.
Froome's acceleration after Poels' work was decisive. The gap he gained there stood all the way to the top.
Not big differences among GC contenders at the finish. Suppose everybody learnt how to menage their power.
