Thank god Chaves got his stage win. This is pretty horrible...

We'll see over the rest of the race whether this is a continuing illness, or if he relies on focus for his performance and drops off significantly when he's not riding for a good result.

I expected it to be pretty much like this. The racing before the Zoncolan is never very fast and aggressive

I thought it would be a bit smaller as well. They must have been going at a reasonable pace over the last couple of climbs; at least enough to have taken about 5 mins back from the break.

yeah, it's a bit strange. Maybe there was a headwind, or the break have just thrown in the towel and are soft pedalling.
