Known last year as the "Manuel Belletti effect". Stage looks perfect made for him anyway.
On the other hand Contador owns these Mende type finishes even more then he owns the mountains so, if he wants it, its bang bang thank you mam again.
Jamsque said:Stage looks awesome, and I'm going to be travelling and miss it. At least I'll get to see the peloton whizz by in person on Thursday.
The Hitch said:Are you going there to watch the Giro or a trip to Italy just happens to coincide?
El Pistolero said:Haha, you can get fined for skipping press conference?
Jamsque said:Coincidence, although I am going for cycling reasons. I'm riding a sportive in Cesenatico on Sunday. Nothing heroic, I'm doing the 130km route and I only just recovered from a broken wrist so I am going to go verrrrrrry slowly.
The Hitch said:You going to Zoncolan on Saturday then? That is one hell of an opportunity.
Le Mevel will definitely go for the win, but it is doubtful the peloton would let him into a break.Eric8-A said:Christophe Le Mevel

90% of the peloton is going to get crushed in the mountains. Right now, there is a time difference between Contador and #37 Paolo Tiralongo of 8:48. By the end of this weekend, there will likely be the same difference between first and tenth, perhaps even fifth. I suspect that by the end of the Giro, there will be a sixty minute difference between first and twentieth. Except for maybe five riders, all others will be trying to limit their losses. Hence why I think a number of riders will want to "get time back."Scirea said:Time to get back for what? He will get killed on the big mountains anyway...
As good as a guess as mine.Look for Deignan to get into the break from RS.

Seriously, though has anybody read anything about why he's sucking so hard this giro?
