Novak behind Laengen now
Im still not sure if they are thinking about the stage yet. Keeping it at five minutes is not a huge problem in that case and letting Laengen ride this climb on his own to have him with them for the flat.He absolotely needs to take over now cause Laengen just loses even more time.
Why would they have ridden they valley quite hard otherwise? Until they ran out of gas for the last 10-20km there.Im still not sure if they are thinking about the stage yet. Keeping it at five minutes is not a huge problem in that case.
Ofcourse they were and probably still are thinking of the stage. It's the queen stage. Pogacar wants this one. But it simply isn't an easy task with the team they have here. Can't blame the riders.Im still not sure if they are thinking about the stage yet. Other teams should up the tempo to isolate Pog if they had balls.
You are definitely wrong.Pogacar isn't looking well, calling it now just by watching. He can lose some time today, but maybe I'm wrong.
I think the stage-win is secondary... they wont blow themselves apart. GC and managing their efforts and using the team for as long as they can is more important here. Why would they have ridden they valley quite hard otherwise? Until they ran out of gas for the last 10-20km there.
Based on what? I am sure even if Pogacar is not well, he would not be in trouble by Laengen tempo.Pogacar isn't looking well, calling it now just by watching. He can lose some time today, but maybe I'm wrong.
Stage-win would be cherry on top, but only if possible. Right now they are just managing themselves and nobody else has the balls to do anything. It goes fast enough for everyone else to not try anything.Ofcourse they were and probably still are thinking of the stage. It's the queen stage. Pogacar wants this one. If they didn't want the stage they wouldve just chilled in the valley till someone started protecting their podium, just like they did in other stages.
He had 2 hours extra rest against the GC guys yesterday. The pace is high, ganna still in the peloton.
Ok, but that is then the case because they realized that managing the team requires a lower pace now. I am totally convinced they tried to keep the break on a short leash initially.I think the stage-win is secondary... they wont blow themselves apart. If they are within range in the end, Pog will obviously try.
Both things can be true. As it has played out they might have to "just" settle for getting the job done.Ok, but that is then the case because they realized that managing the team requires a lower pace now. I am totally convinced they tried to keep the break on a short leash initially.
