Geschke has 0 shot at KoM and Cofidis should focus on winning on of the other stages instead

If they want to win a stage, they need someone in the break who could win. I don't think Wood is that someone. So what are they to do? Give up on the stage or try to make a second break possible and have better options. And if that results in days in the actual lead for Geschke in the jersey all the better. So it's not absurd for them to chase imo, maybe not the most energy efficient one though.

I really hope there will be more attacks, when it goes up. Thats the most awful break for a purposed "queen" stage in a GT one could possibly imagine. With 15min before the Mortirolo, still no one stands the slightest chance to win this if the peloton goes for it. And if the peloton doesn't go for it until the last 2km, this would make for an awfully random winner.
80% of the front group can't really climb. I think its possible to join the front in the next 30km with climbs.
