Rebellin with ANOTHER top5. His results this season are ridiculously consistent, although not reaching the top step all that often.

Nice result for Niemiec.

...and of course a great win for Betancourt, happy with this.

I think it's his experience showing. Remembering the chaotic finale of Tre Valli, there were loads of attacks (and that Liquigas train that failed) but Rebellin followed the right move when ?Pozzovivo? attacked.

Grats Betancourt!

rebellin was always like that but he never won in gilbertesque style,he was/is more a supreme tactician who follows and then bang he wins the sprint.but yes he is consistent all time of the year.

two colombians on the podium, nice.i wonder where basso finished

also betancourt will be the leader for lombardia i see.did he sign with liquigas for next year?i forgot

I don't remmember reading any of that. Could you be confusing with the other colombian at A&S? Sarmiento?

Uran seems like a solid bet for breaking Gilbert's hegemony at Lombardia. (Crossing my fingers).

Poor Mollema.

Would have been worse had it been Uran, as he also wrongly thought he had won Coppa Sabatini in the week.

Sorry TGBM, but one must laugh. He's probably starving for a good, hands-in-the-air triumph this year... Why not Lombardy? :p

Happened to Uran earlier in the week as well. Wonder what would have happened if he had beaten Mollema today.

at least Uran was the first person over the line, just a lap early. Mollema clearly had forgotten about the person in front of him.

Mollema had a pretty good go at Lombardy last year (till fading). Maybe next week can be his? (assuming Gilbert has somehow finally run out of gas for the year...unlikely).

this no race radio thing makes the riders look like clowns seriously

again bravo to betancourt, giro dell'emilia is one of my favourite races and if you look at the winners of the last ten years(barring jose ivan gutierrez with all due respect),he's forced to become a world-class athlete.for gesink i'm not worried,he will win vuelta a espana soon.

God damnit. Mollema best of the favorites and then somebody stays ahead. Hate it when that happens.

Poor Bauke. He would have been a much more worthy successor of Gesink than Betancourt, even though he is a promising Colombian
