don't you think that happened anyway? For me id didn't look like Scarponi was really interested in the stage victory

It's all in the report.
“30km from the finish, I went up to Voeckler and said ‘you’ll win today.’ He thought I was joking, but I was convinced,” Scarponi said. “

Kloden DNS today, apparently he's ill. That could explain why he got dropped so quickly yesterday.

“Early this morning Andreas told us he didn’t feel so good,” said Team Director José Azevedo. “He told us his stomach was upset. When there was that climb in the last 10k he was dropped. He said he was empty. It’s a pity.”

Anyway they still have Tiago Machado, who is doing well since the beggining of the season

Just checked the results. Geox seriously sucks. They've relied entirely on Duarte for a while now, so when he doesn't have the legs for whatever reason the entire team can be safely said to be a joke. Good luck earning that World Tour spot/2012 Tour de France invitation.

You dont think the team of Pope Sastre Duarte Blanco Cobo will absolutely tear it up on the Giro?

Not enough to beat Contador, but add a good performance (perhaps win) at Vuelta and you get a 2012 invite.

I think Scarponi is going for it and he's overtaken Rujano.

Scarponi, Kiserlowski, Machado, Duarte and Pozzovivo leading the race. Scarponi still attacking

Surprising, I was under the impression that Rujano was a lot better than Scarponi. Who hypnotized me for God's sake?

Oh yeah I forgot, half of this forum licks his balls on a daily basis.

Menchov is the least predictable rider out there. He might win, or he might withdraw after 10 days, sitting on 70th in the GC. Sastre is not up to much these days. Duarte will be good if he's in form. Cobo is a joke. I doubt Blanco will do much. So no, I don't think they'll tear it up on the Giro.

Duarte in the lead group, a bit surprsing. A shame that there is no Morabito but he has recently been injured.

EDIT: Morabito has joined leaders.
