Yes, but you judged him based entirely on one race on European soil. It's OK, I didn't have references of his sprinting abilities either, but what isn't OK is to get defensive when corrected by people who have actually seen Duarte race more often.auscyclefan94 said:That's what I'm saying, how has he proved other than yesterday that he can sprint a bit. I made that statement because I was surprised that he beat Michele.

I wouldn't want to read too much into yesterday's stage, re the Giro.
To me, Nibali looked as if he was riding in the same way that others use Switzerland for Tour prep.
Great to see Duarte ride smart for once. Hopefully he previous, ill timed efforts have also be for training purposes.
Loved Machado's look to the camera, when he finally worked his way up to the front group. Looked as strong as anybody.
Rujano went well for 5kms, but he was definitely struggling when the big boys started to attack one another.
Haven't seen the U23 race yet, as I wasted time watching Radio Corsa.

jens_attacks said:lol not at all.that demon is prepared for il giro like nobody else.he's hiding his form or it's just his program.he's the last guy i'd worry about.
meh, he won from a breakaway.jens_attacks said:and just when we have wondered about his form,he wins...
what will await for us at this giro i wonder....

still sucked in every stage where he tried to go with the leaders so far.
