How is he overrated? I don't get it. Nobody speaks about him as a top favourite anywhere. In fact nobody speaks much about him at all. That given, he has some decent results this season showing good form. And yeah, Giro is the main goal now and I think podium is definitely possible.

this is what I mena. hilarious to think that. that's why he's overrated and you are not the only one

he's never EVER been close to a podium in a gc. not even top 5.
What? He was top five last year, beating Rujano for instance. And he's still very young, not even 26 years old. And he's getting better step by step. This year showing better form than last year in every race he stepped in.
Often compared to Nibali, who was third at Giro in age of 25 years 7 months and won Vuelta 4 months later, not so much younger than Roman is now. Before that Nibali was nowhere near gc podium, yet he managed to make it.

The field is weaker this year.
That must count for a few extra placings

You may think they are better and they may very well be but what are realistically the chances that all 3 are going to make impacts on GC all for the first time in a GT.?

well at least 1 or 2 of them should make an impact. so contador out 1 or 2 riders and hopefylly 3 that are in. and I don;t even count pozzovivo because I expect him to have peaked earlier. but there are enough riders that are/can do better than kreuziger

Jeez, Ryo, did Kreuziger bit you or what?
It seems you are (from all the riders) jumping by this name all the way to the ceiling... I just don't get it, why do you react this way, only something very personal has to be in the background - did you got bankrupt betting on him or what?
I also have some riders I'm not so fan of, but why to be touchy?

Kreuziger hasn't really progressed in the last few seasons but is a reliable top 10 bet in GTs. Considering the field for this coming Giro and the parcours, barring problems, he's a safe bet for a top 10 and could definitely finish in the top 5.

In 2011 he changed his schedule instead of the Tour Vuelta, chose to ride the Giro as sole leader. I'm not sure his style suits Giro climbs especially when the pace is being set by a superb Contador.
I think he'd do better to work on his TT and focus on the Vuelta and Tour rather than Giro.

Maybe you haven't noticed the fact that Contador is no longer in the results :) So Rujano stated that he was sick, but whatever that was it didn't change outcome and I can still see Kreuziger ahead of Rujano :) by this time he's still 25, not 26. Can you tell me what itts he won? Cause I can't see it anywhere. In fact his time trial abilities are almost the same or of I'm strict maybe just little bit worse then they used to be, but really almost unnoticeable. If you judge it on the basis of Tirreno TT, than yes, that was really bad, but he hadn't many race kms in his legs by that time. And it was only one. Romandie prologue was just fine.

He can never handle the GT enviroment, always gets sick or something.

Still, I will maintain hope pozz can do it at the giro :)

and zomegnan already said and the rcs they won't change the result contador is the winner and he is the winner in almost everyone's eyes. I'm not counting rujano as winning on the etna now either. that is just pathetic
