will10 said:Probably too hard a stage with the ttt later. And I certainly wouldn't rule out the top guys taking 7 mins back on this parcours.
Re sky ttt: they've never won one on tt bikes.

Yes, big riders won it. While training for the Giro, or Liege.

Bouet can climb. It's not likely he'll lose those 7 minutes.will10 said:Might turn out to be an inspired decision if we see some mayhem in the next days as the best climbers try to take the time back on Bouet and Rodriguez.

Delayed coverage scheduled at 19:00 on RaiSport2.Hugo Koblet said:Is there no live or delayed coverage of today's stage? I was certain that Eurosport advertised that their coverage of Trentino would start today![]()
After the stage Sports Director Marcus Ljungqvist explained the somewhat unusual situation back in the peloton as tactics came into play.
“A lot of teams were looking at us and the bigger GC teams," he revealed. "It’s no secret that we are here to prepare for the Giro and if the GC comes along as a result then that’s perfect. A lot of teams have the same idea. I don’t think a lot of teams wanted to go too deep chasing the move ahead of this afternoon.
“Vini Fantini took it up along with another couple of teams and we also helped out with the chase. Not many teams showed any interest in chasing that group. There’s still a long way to go on the GC and of course we need to see what happens in the TTT this afternoon. But it might be that the winner of the race comes from that [breakaway] group.
“It looks like a bad day on paper but the boys are feeling good. We’re focussed on doing a good job in the TTT.”
