Not at all. Great ending! The only underwhelming thing was how weak Nibali looked. I don't think Trek is going to enjoy the best (or near his best) Nibali.

FWIW he's approaching 3000 CQ points. He could top Sagan's 2016 result with a win in Lombardia.

Lombardia should suit them a lot more obviously, if they have some passable form...

This was a nice race. Excellent performance by Roglic. This race fit him perfectly. So we need to be careful about already giving him the win in Lombardia. Different type of race and some of the riders are not there yet that could have better performance.
Nice ride by Higuita. I thought he lacked some confidence to push when he was ahead. Eventually he realized he was still strong at the end.

Bernal made the top 10.

He won the big fish and then barely raced since. Wasn't expecting anything from him.

Nibali was very disappointing.

I'm not surprised Roglic can go faster than Nibs on that climb though.

I suppose Valverde is still a bit wet and cold from the British Autumn. Thought this was tailor made for him. Great win for Roglic, gonna be fun next year in the GT's up against the INEOS chaps.

This race would be a lot better for Valverde if the 4 San Luca climbs were 20km apart.
