Judging by the tweets from the British guys that was a very un-flat flat stage.

GeraintThomas86
If today's stage was 'flat' like the profile suggested, this could be a long week!! Good fun though, 2km decent in the rain to the finish!!

it's more or less up and down everywhere in Sardinia. The Liquigas guys had their winter camp over there so they should be well prepared.

This last climb is mentioned in the roadbook. It was about 2k long with a maximum gradient of 12%. Like made for Sagan.

Stage 2 looks like this. Will be a hard one.

Liquigas youngsters are having a good start to the year and could well rival their output last year. Great work by Oss and Sagan here and Viviani in other races already

Seems interesting that there is a GB team in it! Some big horsepower in there, 4 of the team pursuit squad from last week, thomas, clancy, burke and tennant! Not sure of the parcours for this race, but would be interested to see those guys lead out ben swift!

i am very happy that ballan this year shows good legs. i hope he will be a factor in RVV and roubaix. his triumph in rvv is not so faraway in the past.
sagan is incredibly strong and skilled. in few years we will see a wonderful rivalry growing in the classic: peter versus EBH.
where are all the guys that stated that he cannot win M-SR? he can really do something on the poggio....

daniel oss has improved a lot: he is building up some speed to use in gruppetto finish. another young rider to watch on the cobbles.

daniel oss and peter sagan in sanremo: not bad for liquigas...

Sorry for not including the picture, but your profiles are much better than the "official" ones.

will be interesting to see if Sagan can win tomorrow.

I don't know why but I feel that Serpa is about to exploit the peloton in this race.
