Nibali one of Gesink peers?????

Kreuzger and Gesink are both almost 2 years younger than Nibali. Nibali is from 84 where Gesink and Kreuziger are from 86

Nibali is from T.Dekker's/Brajkovic era. He has been pro for 2 years longer than Kreuziger and Gesink
What an awfully bad comparison. I seriously am laughing out loud now.
Not to mention Gesink beat Nibali at almost EVERY head-to-head race :D
Gesink is a better climber but like Nibali will only win a gt if the route is suited to him and AC/AS aren't racing.

These are the people he is in the same league with imo. You can compare him to Brajkovic and Dekker if you want as well, the outcome is the same. Though Lanark does have a point with the remove 18 months thing, my point still is that Nibali has done pretty great in races for a guy without any climbing or time trialling skills.

Anyway, I know I'm biased in favour of Nibali here, but even compared to others he's defenitely not worse or duller in my opinion. Since you're biased against him, we'll never agree on this.

WOOOOOOHOOO OOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Thanks Alberto!!!! Thanks Rujano for that!!!!!!!
Rujano on peak!!!!! booooooyaaaaa!!!!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
Another perfect day for me!!!!! Hahahahahahahaahahah!!!!

I have to show respect to Michele!
The guy is offpeaking and still He tries it!
and Rujano! ufffff!!!! He attacked and attacked and attacked again and still could go with Contador the whole climb! You have to show some respect for that performance!!

I know that you maybe hate or dislike Alberto but again... You have to show some respect for the way He's riding... You asked for spectacle? He gave us spectacle... You want attacks far from the finish line? He attacks 7km from the finish line... Chapeau + kudos to him... I can't be more happy for him! He looks happy and enjoying a lot in the bike!!!

Sometimes I think you're one of these Spanish cycling commentators. I don't know what the f*ck they're saying, but you sure sound like them :p

I just watched the replay of the Stage- Conta & Rujano are the Mountain kings- nobody is going to get even near to them in the coming stages.
I'm really annoyed by Nibali, Scarponi & Kreuziger behavior-they think by marking each other, somehow they are going to make it to the podium:mad: Hats off to Gadret who-at least- took the initiative to attack-and gave a good effort to get up there.

Based upon his descending today, if it is wet tomorrow Rujano will need a few minutes at the top of Monte Crostis to have a shot at starting the Zoncolan climb with Nibali tomorrow.

Nibali and others have a chance, depending on what Rujano can do on the descent.

Did we really see enough of the descent in order to really form an opinion. If I am correct we only saw one or two shots where Contador was away and on the next shots Rujano was already back at Contador, so I don't know whether his descending was that bad today

Thx For showing some love and respect!!! was about time!!! Ryo's work and mine has been successful :p

Well atleast you have opened my eyes for Rujano and south americans in general. It's hard not to get interested in these riders when you and - especially - Ryo have been hyping them so much! :D

I must admit that I've jumped on the hype train and actually I'm quite obsessed with south americans - can't wait till Vuelta a Colombia :D

Can one of our Italian friends please verify that this says he did a planned change (to a lighter bike) before Grossglockner, just like he did before Etna?

Giro finito? No, non mi sentirete mai dire che ho già vinto. Manca ancora troppa strada...".

Eurosport noted him working his way back up and adjusting a brake, and they guessed that he'd flatted, but it was near the bottom of the climb, so I guessed it might be a trategic change.

The UCI did some bike tests on Grossglockner after the stage, including his.

LOL was anyone in any doubt what would happen once Bertie and Bjarne got together.

Ignoring Clinic issues, Contador is beautiful to watch when he is climbing - poetry in motion, he's as smooth out of the saddle on a hill as Wiggo is on the track.

Just in another league, particularly against this set of contenders

Its really noticeable beside Rujano. He's a good climber but it looks so labored. Not so with Contador.

Ryaguas is right... like him or not, AC deserves respect for what he's doing, putting everyone of his contenders in a stranglehold. And I have to believe, unless there's some super-undetecable magic wonder pill, that he's doing this clean. He'd have to be nuts to try this unclean, being under the microscope as he is. I think the only ridin dirty he's doing is that signature finish line salute.

Yes, clearly a 5-time GT winner is too young and inexperienced to devise a winning strategy for his 6th GT victory.:)
