Just turned on the Giro. I guess Bjarne Riis trumped Contador on his choice not to put a medal into the pace. :)

Yeah me too, it's wishful thinking from my side that he could possibly be better than Bertie at something.

Lets not forget he is the only one who has successfully dropped Contador on a mountain in the past two years.

Not saying he will, but you never know...

Dont let the english cycling press hear you say that. How many time have they got to remind you guys that Steve Cummings is the only guy to beat Contador on a mountain this year;)

Not renowned. But Rebbelin did come top 10 in a gt once I think. .

He was 6th in the 1996 Giro. 9'15" behind Pavel Tonkov. Had the maglia rosa for 6 days from 7th -12th stage.

But Anton must be feeling really well if Euskatel is riding like this. His main goal with this giro is a stage win but I think he will end up on the podium in Milano instead as time gaps will be big tomorrow.

Ah. Friday the 20th. The day the Giro 2011 finally started. Or it better, as I am starting to wonder if this year the Giro might not end up as the GT that had me most engrossed this year.
