47.9km for the first hour.

Half the peloton trying to get in the break by the sounds of things.

It's the sort of day the guys in the autobus hate with a passion. I spoke to Daniel Lloyd about the Giro last year and he said the hardest stages were the transition stages, the first 1-2 hours are just horrific and he said he sat in the line 150 riders back just praying that the break would go soon :)

Well when the route gives so few opportunities for normal breakaway riders then of course when they get an opportunity like this they won't just let it slip away...Problem is, when everyone wants to get into the breakaway, no one will. Might just end up like that hilly stage where the breakaway first went with 70 km to go or so, which means it will be very hard for them to stay away. In addition, Varnese-Vini will probably try to keep things together for Visconti.

Sky once again failing to get into the breakaway, auch. Preferably, Löfkvist should've been there. No point to ride like a genuine GC contender when you're 30 minutes behind...

Visconti, Lastras and the others in the break should get Sivtsov, Le Mevel and Dupont to stop.:D

Doesn't seem to work for me :(

Strange. Works in firefox and IE. 78km covered and Dupont has joined the break that has 4 minutes at km 70.

Or do you mean you can't see names in the break?

Sivstov surely dooms the break? He's less than 3 mins behind Rujano in 5th
Meh, Sivtsov is 12 mins behind Bertie, 7 behind Neebs and Scarponi.... They'll keep it in check, certainly, but I doubt they'll be expending much force to bring them back.

If Androni care so much about Rujano's 5th, they'll give (serious) chase, but I somehow doubt that.

I agree with Sasquatch, this could very well stick.

Ag2R could make a huge step in team classification if they stay away by a big margin

especially because Kiserlovskis form is still doubtable

So the chase will be lead by Liquigas and Androni right? Saxo Bank and Lampre each have a man in the break. Or should I say SHOULD be led by Liquigas and Androni.
