Contador might as well have taken a nap. Another fail from Astana.

Nap or no I don't kno
All I kno he is close to getting zero stage wins.

P.S. Kangert Aru and Landa and Contador isolated. What about you Basso man and rogers helping Contador?
When I say don't become like Taxus i mean it.

Aru stage win there about the same as not getting one IMO. Same as some of his other wins

Astana have got to be happy with that. Rode the whole day, got the win, consolidated 2nd and 3rd.

Was a lame stage though.

Is this all the Contador haters have left? He didn't win a stage? LOL he's up 5' in GC, who cares?! Yes, in 10 years when we look back we're going to say "oh remember that Giro where Astana won 4 stages, wow incredible! Who won the whole race though, I forget..." Not.

wtf

How was it a fail?

They know they can't beat Contador. Everyone knows they can't beat Contador. May as well consolidate 2nd and 3rd and get a 3rd stage win.

Go for a 4th stage win tomorrow with Landa or someone from the break

Yeah, dont get it either. This is about as much as they could have taken out of this stage. Stage win and solidifying both podium spots? That's brilliant.

I cant ask for more today to the riders... maybe the tactics of some teams yes.

Contador did what he has to, he didnt pay his effort of yesterday, so great.

Landa tried it, but is difficult to drop Contador in this kind of climb, and in the second climb there was an string wind.

Aru superb, stage now he again must count for Contador.

In just one climb of battle, for Hesjedal is not the best, but he, as always this Giro, very strong

Uran not as his best keeping motivation when he has to ride Tour, not easy, he is doing the same effort that Contador an the rest.

i thopught the stage were a little bit more hard, or the riders more tired, i think was tailwind in the flat part.. so the forst climb didnt hurt as I though.

I have to admit, Landa is playing the teammate role very well. Much better than Stick Insect Froome did in 2012 to Wiggins. Clearly Landa could and should be second in the race, but he seems content to let Aru have it, and to babysit him.
He's probably been named the dedicated Vuelta leader already. That should explain why

Please learn English before you post such idiocy again....that hurt to read more than Aru's face hurted

Maybe you should learn English before you criticize others

THATS WHAT ALL CAPS ARE FOR.

Astana trying to make sure that Contador never gets official stage win in Giro?? (Official record and myself don't count wins when caught and suspended for doping)
Lol why would they care... unless they despise him... lol

Hurted is actually acknowledged as the past tense of hurt. Of course you wouldn't use it with the first person, I, but it is acceptable with the second and third person.

Landa the biggest loser of the stage?

Eh, no? He didn't lose anything.
No? I think losing 2nd is something. Maybe he gets it back tomorrow?

Are you aware that the riders are riding on teams and it isn't every man for himself?

Landa isn't going to be with Astana next year... who cares? time to beef up his price. Second spot behind contador is better than 3rd behind Aru :D

Is this year's race an experiment or something with these MTF stages? They are putting the hard climbs first, then finishing on some lame big ring climb. I don't like it, IMO the stages should finish with a legit MTF, not these false flat climbs.

Thanks for helping me with that. I don't know what I was thinking! Riders from the same team have absolutely, positively never raced each other before when on the same team. Right Greg?

I was merely asking who the biggest loser of the day was. Simple question.
