It's weird watching a stage that rides along roads you've ridden hundreds of times before: Tuscania, Sutri, Campagnano, Castel Nuovo del Porto, Monte Rotondo, Mentana, Guidonia, Palestrina, Cave...Fiuggi.

The road surfaces in this part of Italy, as anybody who rides in the Roman area knows, suck to put it bluntly. Lots of pot holes and cracks, though the terrain is varried and great.
