Yeah I tweeted about stage 14 to them too. Now there's only the first page, so maybe they're correcting itNetserk said:As for graphic fails, check out the ITT. Apparently the last rise consists of three parts all with 12.2% avg gradient (While the max is 10%)

Rogers has showed absolutely nothing this year, Basso is old, Kreuziger is demoralized and under observation.. then what's left? A lot of B-climbers and rouleurs. Is there anybody who even knows the final team?
Porte has Nieve, König, Lopez, Seb Henao and perhaps Siutsou. They will be 5 when Contador is alone.
Demoralized Kreuziger is still very good, fifth at Liege and strong at all Ardennes. One wonders if he really is demoralized...
Yes, Kreuziger being allowed to race and apparently in decent form is huge for Contador. Roman would be a podium contender if he was on another team.
As for the ITT, I would pick Porte to take it. Amazing form all year, including MTT win in Paris-Nice and national time trial title at Australian championships. Wouldn't expect major differences between he, Contador and Uran though. Alberto is still a very good time triallist. Last year he did some good ones and even in the 2013 TDF he finished second on the hilly one. Overall for the Giro I'd pick Contador, but it's still a little up in the air given the issue of form. Richie is firing on all cylinders, but can he hold that through the whole event? And are there enough difficult stages early to take advantage of if the other contenders are more looking at a third week peak? Probably not. As a fellow Australian, I'd be happy to see Porte make the podium, or even top five. Perhaps a key will be whether that is his mindset too.
Should be an excellent GT.
He was riding riding a Fuji last year, so even if he'd stayed with that team (Bora Argon 18) his TTing would be better as Argon 18's bikes just look more aero than the Fuji ones.Kokoso said:gregrowlerson said:Kokoso said:SyroboiII said:The thing is, Porte's team is SO much better than Contador's team.

I'd say König for ITT when I look what he was able to do last TdF ITT with proconti material, he'll improve this year.

Hmm 3 I guess, which is still very good of courseMiburo said:Contador's team is stacked as ****. If all of them are on decent shape contador will have 4 guys with the last 20,30 riders.
Kreuziger is in really good shape, he can easily top 5 if he rode for himself.

Stage 9 looks so **** good, holy ****!
That's why the giro will always be better than the tour, you almost never get stages like that in the tour.
Crosara is one big wall. Not the same side as 2013.
You can find answers to most of your questions here, I believe: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=29315gregrowlerson said:What are the gradients on the mountain top finishers on stages 5 & 8? Do these climbs only average about 4% or are they over 6% with some steeper sections?
I have to agree, Uran's team is much weaker, Astana on the other hand should also be very strong in the mountains.DFA123 said:Miburo said:Contador's team is stacked as ****. If all of them are on decent shape contador will have 4 guys with the last 20,30 riders.

Yep, it looks very strong. You could say the same about Sky as well though - some very strong riders there. Etixx look significantly weaker than those two, so Uran could be very vulnerable if he has to try to defend the Maglia Rosa after the time trial.
