Meh... 😱

As wine usually grows in hilly regions, it it kind of obvious that these time trials tend to be at least partly hilly. It would be easily possible to make much harder time trials in all these regions, the RCS versions are basically as flat as possible.
no, this year was raced the exact same version that was presented. Your talking about the one of 2014. That was indeed presented as a lot flatter than the final versionroundabout said:fauniera said:Also, in the last few years the Giro has developed the habit of placing time trials in regions famous for wine (Barolo, Prosecco, now Chianti), which i think is an excellent idea. I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that the first version of the ITT this year was easier than the one subsequently raced
so do you think the final version will be more difficult too?Eshnar said:no, this year was raced the exact same version that was presented. Your talking about the one of 2014. I doubt the current Kreuziger has the abilities to get a top result. Maybe Kišerlovski if they want to ride for a low-end top 10.
Yep. It's a good course for him.Sciocco said:Velolover2 said:I don't think he has any other choice since Contador is only racing the Tour.

Yea another Giro is likely. I hope he gets a somewhat decent team so he can challenge in GC. I believe he'll do well with ~70km of ITT and if the mountains are similar to this year.
A local TV station claims that 2 stages will finish in Südtirol/Alto Adige, the Covara stage and the Susi stage. I don't know how reliable that information is, but having the Corvara stage before the MTT would be bad, everyone would just try to conserve energy.Eshnar said:Updates:
Seems like Follonica won't get a stage after all. This fits with the idea that stage 8 will be a demanding stage finishing in Tuscany, possibly (possibly... don't celebrate yet) with some sterrato and/or the Monte Amiata.
The second week is still the main mistery of the route... the only stages that seem fixed are Sestola on stage 10 and Cividale on stage 13. One between stage 11 and 12 should finish in Asolo. We have to fit in up to stage 16 a stage to Andalo, one to Corvara (or surroundings), the MTT to Siusi and a stage to Livigno. It is technically doable, but it would make an absolute killer 2nd week, so I assume at least one of those will drop. Considering the vicinity between Corvara and Siusi, it's one of those. If there's no Siusi, the MTT Vegni talked about could perhaps be to Andalo... but this is just speculation.
Nibali will ride for Astana, he said that in 2016 his goals are Giro and Olympics (and i think also Vuelta) since last year, and Aru to the Tour.Velolover2 said:Potential captains:
