That is very impressive, didn't think he had it in him. Based on this, he doesn't have to improve his climbing a huge amount to basically become a Dumoulin clone.benzwire said:Yingge said:Well done for Dennis, and he gets himself back into the top 10 as well.
Yeah Dennis has been pretty impressive overall.
Then I would say your reading comprehension leaves something to be desired. What has Pinot claimed or been credited with that he does not have? How does he "intend" to deceive others?DNP-Old said:shalgo said:Yes, he had a bad ride. You still haven't explained how that makes him a "fraud."DNP-Old said:What? This man has won TT's before, beating Froome and Dennis for god's sake. The pressure is on and he is worse than Carapaz and Lopez.fraud

I'd say this is a pretty accurate description.
A shame that he crashed out of the 2017 Giro, with this kind of form he could have fought for a top 5.Bavarianrider said:Props to Dennis. If we ever see Areal GT again in the next few years with real TT km he has a real shot for a Top 5 finish.

The facts are that he rode some good time trials a couple of years ago and has been poor in time trials ever since then. I don't see any deception, much less intent to deceive in those facts.

Exactly what was predicted on the basis of his 20" gap in the opening TT.

I think.
I fear that if Yates did pull a Kruijswijk, it would be Froome the one playing the Nibali role.Carols said:EroicaStradeBianche said:Let's see if Yates pulls a Crushweak in the 3rd week
Big Tom is no Nibali though......

Anyway best thing about this TT was Tony's sceptical face.
