The Dumoulin group is really going down there way too slow.
They were waiting on Reichenbach..
Could actually prove to be better for Froome. Already gained 45 sec and if they let Richenbach lead alone..
Froome could very well run out of gas quickly. This is much better for Dumo, cause he's assuring co-orperation of Pinot and FDJ.

Cheering so hard for the chasing group. Hope they work together.

Same

Problem is, Carapaz and Lopez won't take a single pull, as usual
I have really had it with these guys' antics, playing their "race within the race" stuff and disrupting actual GC dynamics.

But why should they? Carapaz and Lopez will gamble for a possibe stage win by tiring the others.

Just like Uran last year who never pulled except to help Froome reel in Bardet. Ridiculous tactics, no one will remember Uran was second in 2017 or that Lopez got the white jersey at the Giro in 2018.

Well, they were still going about as fast as Reichenbach while waiting for him. They've lost 50 seconds and Reichenbach went over the top maybe 15 seconds behind the Dumo group.

Reichenbach is a Wiggins-esque descender. He'll prove his worth in the valley.

But Uran had a chance to win the Tour. Carapaz and Lopez can't win the Giro anymore.

Why the **** isn't Lopez pulling with Dumo? FFS he could even climb the ladder with Pozzo behind them. I hate that Majka-style of riding.
Actually if Lopez doesn't pull that means he might go all in for the win. If Dumoulin and Froome pull all the way to Jafferau he can gain minutes on that climb. And there is another hard stage coming tomorrow.

Pinot, Lopez & Carapaz, are already behind Froome.
If I was them I'd be more concerned with losing time too each other.

60+ kilometers left. Froome is investing a lot on the descend. Chances are much higher of him exploding, than actually winning the stage. Magical gains or not.
Definitely, but he's all in for the win here. You don't gain three minutes on Dumoulin by hedging your bets.
