Does anyone really think the Giro isn't over? Froome will be in virtual pink well before the stage is finished. I wouldn't bet on his being any worse off tomorrow for the escape than those who followed him.

He's going to be in pink with several minutes to spare. He can afford to have a small off day tomorrow.

The Sky train will be a bus parked in front of the race tomorrow if he takes pink, Froome's condition in the morning is almost irrelevant. Dumoulin needs to take a grip of this pronto and stop waving his hands at riders that are slower than him anyway.

That's what I am thinking. If you let slower riders ride and the gap increases then you still have to pull harder to bring it back down. Better to ride own tempo like Froome does.

I actually think the Stelvio stage from the 2014 giro has the record, at least someone once claimed that. Don't know if true.

I think Dumoulin and Pinot are just completely empty. Remember, it was an extremely hard start to the stage, and then Finestre at full gas, and then Sestriere with little help at more or less 90%. On Stage 19. Its been an absurd day/giro
