Ok so Froome said he just wanted to be in front and grab some mountain points, maybe he planned to come around Poels, but then the line was there already I guess

Very good post.Libertine Seguros said:Is racially abusing another rider and then deliberately crashing out another rider who mentioned it publicly classless too?Oliwright said:Why is it classless?? Are u guys just mad?
Classless is Nibali attacking when Froome had a mechanical.
Classless is when everyone attacked Dumoulin during 'poo gate' last year.
How about telling fellow pros that nobody should care about them, or going screaming in the face of an ex-rider following in the media for saying something you didn't like?
Or exposing other people's personal business on Twitter because they called out your fiancée getting perceived preferential treatment?
Or calling everybody who questions the narrative a bunch of four letter words - or refusing to face the media whenever there's any bad news, hiding away and then doing the Hammer Dance about how you've been there at every race so people just don't come and ask you questions?
Sky do sometimes get called out for some minor stuff, but let's not pretend there isn't a pretty long history of them, and their riders, putting their weight about a bit in the bunch, that adds to why this reputation of classless behaviour is perceived. There's a pattern there, and it does mean that the perception of little acts of ruthlessness like the sprint here, just to assert their freshness, is more negative than it might otherwise be.

No, he gained about a minute downhill, the rest uphill and on false flat.Oliwright said:Gigs_98 said:At least I don't think waiting for Reichenbach or Lopez and carapaz not working changed anything. Froome looked so at ease today that he probably could have gained the seconds he might have needed in that case anyway
We'll never know. Froome gained 2 mins on the descents yesterday and that decision is why TD came 2nd.

I think the post on the Clinic using multiple time dots calculated that actually it was only a minute on the descent, because the original breakdown was "Finestre climb" "Finestre descent" "Sestriere climb" "Sestriere descent" "Jafferau ascent", counting all of the false flat, both uphill and downhill, between Sestriere and Bardonecchia, under the "Sestriere descent" heading. Not that it really changes your point, because Dumoulin still lost more than his GC deficit on those descents, but the "2 mins on the descent" rather undersells how dominant Froome was yesterday. He gained about a minute on the descents, approaching a minute on the false flat, and the balance over the course of the climbs, none of which was on Jafferau, most of which was on Sestriere.Oliwright said:Gigs_98 said:At least I don't think waiting for Reichenbach or Lopez and carapaz not working changed anything. People are being purposely obtuse.
sure, ignore everything else mentioned and only focus on the salbutamol case.Oliwright said:There are many reasons to be sceptical of Sky & every other team.
Sky deserve a some of the **** they get and they don't deserve other.
Even EF who have a reputation for doing things the right way have had riders fall to Wada.
People hate Froome & Sky for many of the reason you can/could dislike Contador or others.
Also no one was complaining about Froome & his case when he was loosing time in the 2nd week...

LMAO, This is 2016 Tour all over again when dumbasses like Walsh and Co. claimed Froome won 2016 Tour on a descent.

Pretty sure he realized that didn't make any sense as it was coming out of his mouth.TMP402 said:Stella0596 said:'To stay in front' and 'the mountain points' were the reasons they sprinted according to Froome.
