Good to see a random Androni rider destroying 2 Treks, hope they'll get a stage
Vendrame is only 23 years old and was a big talent in the U23 ranks, 2nd in U23 Lombardia and 3rd in the U23 Europan championship RR in 2016, won the 2015 Giro Belvedere by attacking early (power was a monster in that race, he wrecked everyone uphill) and until now he had most of his top 10 results as a pro in smaller French races.

Re:

Both Sicliy stages were as exciting as the Israeli stages.
No action worth mentioning before the 1km mark. Except for the crashes.

Riders that leave QS tend to disappoint later on (with rare exceptions).
Yeah, like Cavendish.
Or Kwiatkowski.
Or Uran Uran.
Or Poels.
Or De Gendt.

And I'm still leaving out people like Verona, Cortina and Wisniowski. In the past 3(?) years.
Not to mention Brambilla was pure garbage in his last QS year.

I wouldn't say Poels disappoints post-Quickstep, he was only there for one year and didn't win much then. He's achieved much more at Sky, even though he's mainly used as domestique.
