Jesus Christ, do we need more senseless injuries like this... It's freaking infuriating that the organization(s) can't get their *** together with simple stuff like like this... Tie the damn fences down!!! And don't have helicopters flying so low!!! It ain't rocket science people!!!

Let's hope a little old lady doesn't drive her car out onto the course in the final k's in the next sprint stage.

The result gives 5:22 for both van Empel and Wackermann. Molano and Richeze from UAE finished with that time.

How do the intermediate sprints work?

Is the first sprint a points competition, and the second intermediate sprint a time competition, or is there points there as well?

  • both count for the intermediate sprint competition (10-6-3-2-1 points)
  • the first one also counts for the points classification (12-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 points)
  • at the 2nd one 3-2-1 bonus seconds are awarded for the Top 3

Who can actually dislike this rider? He's one of the best of his generation. An attacker, best descender for a while, with great style. I dont' know really why, maybe it's voodoo, but I've always liked him!

It is impossible for anyone to be everyone's favourite.

He was never a favourite for me, I was probably neutral towards him for the most part (though I also tend to follow riders who don't win often, Contador aside), but have warmed to him a little more in recent years.

I like more the hype (that often turns out to be not just hype) that surrounds the shark on this forum, and like to play along with that. And his career is simply so 'storied'.

Too many 'trophy cabinet' references? Never!

Man, those were the years.
Flo infesting every topic with her Contador love and mods ultimately threatening to ban her and confining her in a dedicated thread.

Yep. Compared to Flo's love for Contador, Koronin's love for Valverde is very tame.

I also recall Auscyclefan94 who adored Cadel Evans, but both are no longer active.

During the Tour Roglic. Van der Poel, clearly. But this Nibali stuff is way, way bigger (well, okay, maybe not bigger than Koronins love for Valverde) than anything I have experienced here in my "first year". It really took me until this week to realize that this is not a cycling fans' forum, but a Nibali's.

Bit late to the party here...
You're wrong! This isn't a Nibali forum, this is a cabinet forum!

Did I miss any uproar in the peloton after the Wackermann incident? Seems like everyone lost their voice, maybe cause he's from a lesser team?
