Last one to win nine was Petacchi in 2004. I don't think Démare will reach that...Viviani won 4 stages in 2018, Gaviria the year before. Last one to win 5 was Cav in 2013

If he did I'd say that would be the suprise of the year.Last one to win nine was Petacchi in 2004. I don't think Démare will reach that...
Well, a lot of people think there will be snow so the mountains would be cancelled...If he did I'd say that would be the suprise of the year.
There are no dominant teams in this race which makes it more interesting in some ways. As usual Bora work hard for little gain. Demare's team should help him clean up a few more stages.Trek also seems to think that they are Ineos 2.0 and stay at the front all the time. Meaning that Nibali is in a great position but runs out of teammates in the final most of the time.
Oh? OH!?Freddy Maertens, '77 Vuelta, 13 stages and the overall. Mathematically, it's still feasible for Demare. Allez Nono! End the drought!
At least he's staying within the same team and not completely jumping ship.Oh? OH!?
So, just because Pinot fails a few times regarding winning GTs (that is what you meant by End the drought!, right?) all of a sudden, it's aaaall about Demare?! And you call yourself a fan?![]()
Nice situation for a short day to get them so early, but hopefully we'll see more later too as I think this may well come back togetherEchelon stages never disappoint.
