Evenepoel can still be the best GT debutant since... since Andy Schleck?
... and the best of the current field.

Discount Purito hasn't dropped Remco on a proper long climb yet those 5 other times don't count.Egan the new Alberto
Then it turns out it was actually mainly a "sterrato thing" for Remco todayI mean someone like Ciccone was dropped much later and lost almost as much time so in regards to everyone else who was dropped, I'd say he did well after being dropped.
No, he was dropped with Ciccone and Nibali. And he seems to be a bit overconfident sometimes, which makes him lose a lot of time if he's actually dropped. How did Soler lose so much time, wasn't he right in the front group almost until the end?
Evenepoel...If it only goes downhill from here, he'd best focus on a stage.
If Bernal continues this way and win the Giro, it could really help him to get on the level of Roglic/Pogacar. Especially when it comes to confidence.
Why couldn't Ineos just have kept the break at 8 minutes?
Caruso is really flying under the radar. He has been consistently around the 5th-6th best GC rider after The Landissimo crashed out. I can totally see him netting Bahrain a top 5 if all goes well. He is known for his consistency even in the high mountains.Caruso managing to keep Bahrain's stake high.

you seem to be in a bad mood todayNot a funny one.
why would we expect it was his worst day, i expect him to lose minutes on ZoncolanIf this was Evenepoel worst day, he's right on track for a podium finish
I doubt that if Strade Bianche is anything to go byConfidence sure but I'm pretty certain Pogacar or Roglic would have beat him today.
yeah he expended a lot of energy today also, so many times he was riding by himself, he could totally blow up yates' style.you seem to be in a bad mood today

Shades of Valparola in 2016 and a reminder to all race organisers why long, hard finales are good. Looking at you, ASO and Unipublic. It's insane how riders on that final climb blew up like it was the Zoncolan and not some random 3rd category climb without any steep ramps. Just brutal.
That's a pretty big if with lots of hard stages to go and with the preparation he's had. Still he's over achieved so far.If this was Evenepoel worst day, he's right on track for a podium finish

Dropped like a stone on the last uphill km.How did Soler lose so much time, wasn't he right in the front group almost until the end?
