Bahrain should put Zambanini, Suttilin, Pasqualon or Butrago in the breakaway, then Caruso should try something over the top. Caruso is not a guy who can take time tomorrow on the hard stage, if he is strong he will just be able to follow the best guys. He could catch some captains napping with a move today, however, and then final 20km with his teammate

Not sure on how this stage will play out. Will for example JV be prepared to help control at beginning. If Ineos won't be up to it. The hill near the end could spark some GC action. We'll see.

I think Caruso will be the detonator from the GC group today on that final climb & he could force a selection.

Of course and even Hessmann (the man is having his breakthrough as a domestique). In fact I trust more a possible "resurrection" of Dennis and Gloag in this race than Oomen.
Oomen after his leg artery surgery unfortunately never becoming the Oomen he was supposed to be :(
Also don't forget he had a *** prep for this Giro when he got covid at Romandie.

I wouldn't waste Buitrago as long as there is the small possibility that Ineos just sends Arensman & Buitrago on a breakaway that succeeds because Bouwman alone can't control.

That's a certain podium spot IF it plays out. And a certain pink jersey for Ineos who can't control the race with 4 guys.

It's crazy, but worth a try.

Unless Caruso really thinks he can win the whole thing.

It was also the magical Sunweb seasons tbh.

Oomen was decent in Itzulia, he can still be decent for depth and backup.

Jesper Worre's dream break:

Pinot, Vine, Gee, Van Wilder, Healy, and Cort.

If that were to happen, I'd be very much in conflict with myself!

Bahrain in front after a descent. I think both Thomas and Rogla are behind the split.
