Two really good stages like A or S-Tier mountain stages. Hard stages there are quite a few more
Then what is the problem?
That they might not happen as advertised. And yes I get it the 3rd week is super hard and yes stage 16 is very good aswell, but the overall route is very mediocre in my opinion especially when considering the risk of nerfes/cancellations. I guess the route is just way too backloaded in my opinion which also has a tendency to hinder/delay actual racing even more in earlier stages that *could* be interesting atleast in theory
I think this it not a bad take at all. That they might not happen as advertised. So whats going on? Not much I see. Looks like a solid time for a few hours of sleep on the sofa and a 50/50 of waking up during the sprint.

A backloaded route will, as you say, make riders/team hesitant on racing hard before it. Afraid that they will pay for it later. Some really hard mountain stages or a tough MTF can be incredibly boring sometimes with attacks only in the last 3km.
Some people on here just want to argue for the sake arguing, bit ironic coming from certain posters.
Isn't backloading better than the atrocity of a route the Vuelta had last year?
Why do they keep forcing that E-Giro crap upon our eyes?
Marit and Fiorelli are with Cav as well.So is every sprinter apart from Cav back?
Well and Dekker.
Surely Champion would be a more fitting winner.OK, Robbie McEwan has me jazzed for Milan to win today for the italian headlines Milan victorious in Napoli
Sounds to me like arguing for the sake of arguing. An incessant need of always being unsatisfied about everything.
Red Rick and Bavarianrider have found a rival.
Ooh, winning in one of the primary medieval/renaissance city-state rivals like Florence or Venice will be even more specialOK, Robbie McEwan has me jazzed for Milan to win today for the italian headlines Milan victorious in Napoli
Or even kicking the hornet's nest a little more with "Milan conquers Napoli!"OK, Robbie McEwan has me jazzed for Milan to win today for the italian headlines Milan victorious in Napoli
Im not trying to do that. Let me try to put it another way. Stages 3,5,6,10,11 and 14 are basically the same stage, a design I dont find particularly interesting. Then we have stages 2,17,21 which are completely flat. That paired with 3 stages reserved for ITT's (which is whatever I neither particularly like nor dislike them) and the fact that chances for crosswinds are notoriously low in Italy it just creates a route for me where basically halfthe stages are, for a lack of a better word, "wasted". So that paired with what I said about the mountain stages just makes for a pretty mediocre route and im neither trying to argue for the sake of arguing nor am I trying to convince you that the route is terrible. If you think the route is awesome, more power to you, I wish i could feel the same as I dont really get a kick out of disliking the route of my favourite GT.
