was that a bit of a panic move by remco to go into that break? A shame that there are no hills for the next 100 k...that would have been fun
From the heli shot I had the impression that he had some fun. I imagine that it is difficult for him to keep the team strategy. He has been riding in the break for most of his career ... solo breaks mostly of course 😄

They weren't this nationalistic a decade ago or in zeroes. Especially not Migels!

Sad that they copy the public broadcasting coverage style nowadays.
They aren't nationalistic - they are idiots. A casual cycling fan can read a profile better and know more about the capability of teams and riders. Even Jens as the expert says really dumb stuff all the time. better watch the english broadcast - it's a bit better.

Here's a good reason as to why.
I noticed this yesterday and was like "uhm ok, dumb idea". But I guess if people think it's all in contact instead of air oh well.

With Voigt you immediately get why he was always either going for the breakaway or working at the front of the peloton once you hear his tactical insights.

Migels used to be a competent & accurate commentator for 2 decades. Definitely better than Kirby & Hatch, dunno about Duffield.

Voigts has the dumbest takes ever, but one reason I like him is that he's absolutely not nationalistic and he has no (obvious) personal favourites. He mostly likes when riders attack, but he's overall very understanding and nice to the riders, but also very honest when he's disappointed. He's mostly there for the feel good atmosphere imo, and desperately needs someone like Aldag at his side who has some understanding of what's going on.

A lot of riders will probably just roll through the TT tomorrow and going all out today, knowing it might be one of the best opportunities in the race that a break could go.

They are riding like it is no tomorrow atm.

150km to go! Jeez.

And some could have avoided that stress if they had gone into the break yesterday... but no, they all have to target the same stage... as if that improves their chances...
