Crazy what he is doing to everyone elseWhat a rider Majka.
Vine seemed really strong in Romandie, but in the end, who's always there? Majka
Voisard should be allowed to go for the stage win, I think, especially with Storer not really getting away. He was with the GC group on Sunday, so seems to be in good shape.Poole and Storer both have teammates up front, they have options.
Wout in Hautacam version for Simon Yates on the final climb?
I don’t get the stage 15 argument. Was that trio going alone to the finish with 80k left or whatever it was? I’ll grant the optics were a bit odd but the tactic was basically sound. Sure, they could have tried to force Bora to work but we can see now that wasn’t gonna happen. But they crashed, and him own team still foolishly chased him. Stage 9 was okay, but stage 15 was not.
Still strongest rider in the race so far and not really close. Point being his cushion could easily have been larger
And this ignores he dodged the gravel crash because he was further behind the crash than the guys that got injured there. And he hasn’t crashed (much) because he’s constantly been on the front of the race. Because he’s been super strong to this point.
So he hasn’t been on the front for the bulk of the race? Avoiding trouble? He has.And this ignores he dodged the gravel crash because he was further behind the crash than the guys that got injured there.
It's such dogmatic reasoning.
Who knows, but it wasn't UAE's job to chase there IMO.I don’t get the stage 15 argument. Was that trio going alone to the finish with 80k left or whatever it was? Ayuso's positioning is a major issue for him. Del Toro on the other hand has been at the front and avoiding all the chaos, like a seasoned GC rider, not rookie. So he hasn’t been on the front for the bulk of the race? Avoiding trouble? He has.
Sit 20-30 riders down and you’re going to get caught in more crashes. Just math.
Yates and Tiberi both are rolling it over as fast or faster than Del Toro, both are going to jump him, even if he can counter it will cost him..if he gets swarmed soon got to go deep, deep and pay for the effort.Del Toro doesn't seem to be climbing very well today either, but the rest of the riders are as expected, unfortunately.
Carapaz and Bernal have been struggling in GG the last years.
not sure, but might just be afraid of high speeds after his crash. Latour, G. Martin etc suffer(ed) from the same.Scaroni is really bad at descending, has he always been?
He's wearing a black jacketWhere did Carapaz go
He's wearing a black jacket
You see him in front a lot, and then you make up the story ignoring how the crashes actually happened. Or you ignore events where he was further back int he peloton for it. Stage 6 crash happens in like 7th wheel with Hindley and Roglic is in front of it, and nobody is talking about it. Stage 1 a crash happens when Bora's are all near the front and the UAE's are mostly chilling in the back.So he hasn’t been on the front for the bulk of the race? Avoiding trouble? He has.
