At least there's no final TT for Tarling to miss out on. But I doubt that's much consolation when you're lying on a cold, wet road with probably at least one broken bone.
Absolutely brutal caper at times. And yet they have the courage to get back on the bike and do it all again, incredible.

Just turned on the feed and saw the rain. This is going to be a BRUTAL stage.

I suspect this is the type of stage where riders either can sit with the favorites across the first few mountains or they'll end up 30 minutes down in a gruppetto. I don't think there will be that much middle ground.

I'm curious for a rider like Svestad-Bårdseng today. So far he has managed to avoid falling back into gruppettos and is holding on to a top 25 spot. A stage like today will be a big test to see if he can hold on long enough to keep his spot and challenge for top 20 or if the bottom falls out and he looses 30 minutes or more.

The attacks are not over, the weather being like this and the break being close before the first (easy) climb, will make many want to go, because the GC guys will go slower all day than they would in dry weather.

EF is in every move, Carapaz is going for it today

UAE trying to control obviously and so far they are succeeding.
